Privacy Policy
Last updated 26 October 2026
Besky ("we", "us") is an Australian startup based in Melbourne. This policy explains what we collect from you today, why we collect it, and what we will do before we ask for anything more. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect today
Besky is not live yet. At this stage we collect only:
- The email address you enter on our sign-up form.
- Campaign tags from the link you used to reach us (for example which ad or post you clicked), so we can see what is working.
- Basic technical information that your browser sends with the form, such as your IP address and browser type, handled by our form provider.
We do not have access to your email inbox, your receipts or your purchases. Signing up to the waitlist does not connect anything.
Why we collect it
- To email you when Besky launches.
- To understand which of our channels bring people to the waitlist.
- To contact you about Besky if you ask us a question.
Who handles your information
We use a third-party form provider, Formspree, to receive and store sign-ups. Our pages also load fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google can see your IP address when you visit. These providers may store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States.
We do not sell your information. We only share it with service providers that help us run Besky, or where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address until you ask us to delete it or we no longer need it for the purposes above.
What will change when we launch
Besky is designed to read emailed receipts so it can spot price drops after you buy. Before we ask you to connect an email account we will update this policy to explain exactly what we read, what we store, how long we keep it and who we share it with, and we will ask for your permission first. If we use data from your Google account, we will follow Google's API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Your choices and rights
- You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you.
- You can ask us to correct it or delete it.
- You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time.
To do any of these, send us a message using the form below. If you have a complaint we cannot resolve, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
